Scholarships
The NEF impacts EVERY student in the Novi community and needs the teamwork of volunteers to cover all the bases. We are looking for volunteers to cover all the bases. Volunteer for one of our seven committees, our Board of Trustees or add your name to our volunteer list to help with special events or share your talents.

Fuerst Scholarship Fund
The Fuerst Scholarship was established in 1996 thanks to a generous $350,000 donation from the estate of Ruby Fuerst to the Novi Community Schools. The Novi Board of Education entrusted the management of the Fuerst funds to the NEF.​

Any Novi Community School District resident, regardless of age, pursuing post high school education in an undergrad program at an accredited community college, college, university, technical, or vocational school is eligible for a Fuerst scholarship. The decision for scholarship will be based on financial need, application information, and interview. The application and aid form is distributed through the Novi High School Counseling Office in December. Applications are due in late January.
Janet Ban Scholarship
The Janet Ban Scholarship was bequeathed to the NEF from a trust created by Janet Ban, a former teacher at Novi High School. The first Ban scholarship was awaded in 2021.

The Ban Scholarship is awarded annually in the amount of $3,000 to a graduating Novi HS senior for college, university, trade school or similar full time continuing education. The recipient's GPA must be between 2.5 and 3.0. The application is distributed through the Novi High School Counseling Office in December. Applications are due in late January.
